Shravan Maas is the fifth month of Hindu calendar. Shravan Maas begins in late July from the first day of the full moon and ends in the third week of August, the day of the next full moon. Each day of this month is considered auspicious for worship of Lord Shiva. Many prayers and rituals are performed in this pious month. Since the month is considered auspicious any sadhak can take advantage by performing rituals and mantra sadhna related to Lord Shiva.

शिव का प्रिय मास श्रावण आते ही धर्म का पवित्र वातावरण बन जाता है। इस माह का लाभ सभी को उठाना चाहिए। इस माह में जपे गए मंत्र सिद्ध और असरकारी होते हैं। पूरे श्रावण मास जप और पूजन करना चाहिए। इसके अलावा घर में जो भी शिवलिंग उपलब्ध हों, उसका पूजन करें । अभिषेक इत्यादि कर रुद्राक्ष माला से जप करें। सावन मास में भगवान शिव के कुछ विशेष मंत्र हैं, जिनके जाप से सुख-समृद्धि और सफलता तो मिलती ही है इसके अलावा अकाल मृत्यु से भी मुक्ति मिलती है।
