ICE began raids across U.S. to remove 2,000 undocumented immigrants
  • 5 years ago
U.S. Immigration authorities have started a nationwide sweep to remove around two-thousand undocumented immigrants from the country.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the court-ordered raids focus on recent undocumented arrivals with priority on apprehending violent criminals and aggravated felons.
ICE conducted raids in 2016 during Obama administration arresting ten percent of illegal immigrants.
As of early Sunday evening, there weren't many confirmed reports of undocumented migrants being apprehended, suggesting the raid is progressing slowly.
