Mexico Said Enforcing Existing Laws Can Help Immigration Issues

A Mexican official wants to better existing measures to deter Central American migrants going to the U.S. border. According to Reuters, this comes after President Donald Trump threatened Mexico with high tariffs. Trump said tariffs would start at 5 percent on June 10 and escalate if Mexico didn’t help slow the flow of immigration. Mexico’s deputy foreign minister Jesus Seade plans to meet with the U.S. in Washington.
