North Korean state media reported that 72-year-old Choe In-guk, the son of a former South Korean foreign minister, arrived at Pyongyang International Airport on July 6, 2019 to ‘resettle’ in North Korea. His late father, former South Korean foreign minister Choe Dok-shin, defected to North Korea in 1989 after political disputes with then-South Korean President Park Chung-hee.
