Bareun Mirae Party calls on Moon administration to revise economic policies
  • 5 years ago
South Korea's minor opposition Bareun Mirae Party has strongly criticized the Moon Jae-in administration's economic policies,... saying,... they're driving the economy into a hole.
In a policy speech Friday,... floor leader Oh Shin-hwan claimed... the government's income-led growth policies have worsened income polarization... and back-to-back massive minimum wage hikes have negatively impacted small businesses.
Oh said,... if the government wants to revive the economy,... it needs to overhaul its economic policies,... and work with rival parties to find solutions.
Slamming the government's extra budget bill,... he said only a small portion of the budget is directed at economy-related areas and that it'll have little impact on boosting growth.
Oh also called for a parliamentary probe into the undetected arrival of a North Korean fishing boat at a South Korean port to see whether there was any cover up attempt,... and called on the defense minister and national security advisor to resign.
