With Warriors Thompson agreed to a five-year, $190 million max contract to return to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors star tore his ACL
in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Some wondered if Thompson would receive
a max deal due to injury concerns. It is still uncertain if Thompson will return
at all for the 2019-2020 season. Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and
2.4 assists during the 2018-19 regular season. The Warriors lost Kevin Durant in free agency to the Brooklyn Nets. Durant will miss the 2019-2020 season
with a ruptured Achilles suffered in
Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Warriors completed a sign-and-trade
with the Nets for D'Angelo Russell. Russell will be paired with Steph Curry
