Paris Saint-Germain is a French football club based in Paris. Founded in 1970 after the fusion of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain, the club makes its way to first division in 1973. The same year, the club changed their jerseys to the iconic blue and red kit created by French designer Daniel Hechter. PSG won its first trophy in the French cup in 1982 and its first French title in 1986. In the 90s, PSG reaches fame with great results in Europe. The team is composed with players such as Weah and Ginola. The beginning of the 20th century is less prolific despite players like Ronaldinho or Pauleta. In 2011, PSG sees the arrival of new owners: Qatar Sport Investment lead by new president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The Parisians see a new era with the transfers of superstars like Ibrahimovic, Cavani or Neymar. The Parc des Princes has been the home pitch since 1974 with a seating capacity of 48,000 spectators. The game against Olympique de Marseille known as Le Classico is one of the famous derby in modern football history. With a budget of 500 millions euros, Paris Saint-Germain still hopes to reach the final victory in Champions League.
