Last respects paid to Major Akshay Girish Kumar at Yelahanka IAF Base in Bengaluru

The last remains of Major Akshay Girish Kumar were brought to Yelahanka Air Force Base in Bengaluru. Major Akshay laid down his life, fighting terrorists at Nagrota in Jammu on Tuesday. Another officer five jawans were also martyred in this attack.
The other officer who was martyred is Major Gosavi Kunal Mannadir, a resident of Maharashtra's Solapur district. Five soldiers who were martyred in Tuesday's attack are Havildar Sukhraj Singh (32), a resident of Gurdaspur in Punjab, Lance Naik Kadam Sambhaji Yeshowanttro (32), a resident of Nanded in Maharashtra, Grenadier Raghvendra Singh (28), a resident of Dholpur in Rajasthan, and Rifleman Asim Rai (32), a resident of Khotang in Nepal.
