US Authorities Seize Nearly $1 Billion Worth of Cocaine According to NBC News, the bust occurred at a shipping port in Philadelphia. The cocaine, which was reported to be around 15,000 kilos, was found on a cargo ship. Beforehand, the vessel made multiple stops, including in the Bahamas. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania William McSwain says it is "one of the biggest drug busts in American history." The bust comes as the CDC reports that cocaine-fueled fatalities are rising in the U.S.
