Sarah Huckabee Sanders is "seriously considering" a run for governor of Arkansas.

Outgoing White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is reportedly "seriously considering" a run to become the governor of Arkansas.  Politico, which cites sources familiar with her plans, states: "While Sanders and her associates have been quietly talking about the possibility for months, sometimes in jest, she has shown renewed interest in the prospect as she's started contemplating her post-White House plans."  President Trump has publicly mentioned the possibility and offered encouragement.  On Thursday, the day her departure from the White House was announced, Trump said at an event: "She's going to be going back to Arkansas with her great family…And I don't know…if we can get her to run for the governor of Arkansas, I think she'll do very well. And I'm trying to get her to do that."  That same day, he tweeted: "After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas." "She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas - she would be fantastic," Trump further noted. "Sarah, thank you for a job well done!"
