Chinese pupils were filmed scanning their faces at a facial recognition gate to enter a school in southern China.

The video, shot in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on June 12, shows students scanning their faces in front of the school gate to get into the campus.

After they scanned their faces, the facial recognition system would also send information to their parents' phones.

Students will need to scan their faces when entering and leaving the school.
