근대 회화 병풍 2점, 문화재 최초로 해외 영구 반출 허가

For the first time, the Cultural Heritage Administration has allowed the permanent transfer of their treasured items to a foreign country.
Two folding screens made during the 19th and 20th century called Cheakgado... and Yeonhwado... have been sold to the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia and will be added to their list of exhibits.
In principle, transferring cultural heritage overseas is prohibited.
But the Korean government can give approval if foreign government-approved museums are transferring the piece for an exhibition.
The nod of approval was given as the two folding screens will have greater value abroad since there are many similar artifacts already in Korea.
