Children a Year A new study has revealed that cosmetics can be dangerous or even deadly in the wrong hands. The journal 'Clinical Pediatrics' estimates that more than 64,000 U.S. children younger than
5 had a cosmetic-related injury between
2002 and 2016. The study defines "cosmetics" as products meant to "cleanse, beautify, promote attractiveness or alter appearance." Rebecca McAdams, Study author, via CNN Nail care products caused the most injuries, followed by
skincare and perfumes. 75% of injuries were caused by the consumption of cosmetic products.
