Ahead of the Under-20 World Cup final against Ukraine,... the Taeguek Warriors were all smiles during their open practice session on Thursday local time in Lodz.
Team Korea did not shy away from showing their confidence.
"Ukraine is a strong team, but I think our players are better and we have the edge over them. Our defense has gotten tighter and our offensive line is doing its role so we are all confident that we can win the final match."
Team Korea's open practice lasted for about an hour and the players mainly focused on recovery as they have played six games over the span of twenty days.
Staying in the same building as Ukraine's under-20 football team,... the young Taegeuk Warriors are not giving anything away to their opponents.
"We don't see the Ukrainians that much,... but when there's an encounter with them, we make sure to show our confidence by giving them a good stare. We don't look away until they do."
Ukraine's under-20s were expected to open the first 15 minutes of their practice, but they closed the session abruptly and kicked out the media personnel.
Meanwhile in South Korea,... fans are getting ready to cheer on the young players,... organizing public screenings of the match across the country, including at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The Under-20 World Cup final will kick off at 1AM on Sunday, Korea time.
