Rihanna Brings Awareness to Ongoing Sudan Massacre Following months of
civilian protest in Sudan, former president Omar al-Bashir
was removed from office by a military
coup and arrested in April of this year. A transitional military council
was put in place until a civilian
government can be established. Demonstrators have vowed
to remain in the streets until a
democratic system is created. As a result, peaceful protesters
are being killed and injured. Rihanna posted on her Instagram
Story to shed light on the situation. According to BBC, as of Tuesday,
protesters and military officials
will soon attempt negotiations.
