911 Calls From Jussie Smollett
Case Released to Public Two 911 calls made on the night of Jussie
Smollett’s alleged attack were released on June 5. The ‘New York Post’ obtained the recordings
through a Freedom of Information Act request. The caller, identified by the ‘New York Post’ as Smollett’s
creative manager, Frank Gatson, called authorities on
Smollett’s behalf around 2am on January 29. Frank Gatson,
via ‘New York Post’ Authorities then asked Gatson if Smollett
required medical attention, to which he replied
that he thought Smollett was just “startled.” Frank Gatson,
via ‘New York Post’ The 911 dispatcher then alerted
the police and ended the call. The second call occurred minutes later when Gatson
called again and asked if the police were on their way.
