Greeting Eid with a bang: Malaysian village fires cannons at end of Muslim holy month

More than 80 homemade cannons were fired in the village of Kampung Talang near Kuala Kangsar in western Malaysia. The noisy village celebration welcomes Eid ul-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of people were on hand to see – and hear – the Eid celebration which started late on June 4, 2019 and carried on into the next morning.
