After Maharashtra, a fresh crisis looms for congress in T'gana. Cong Telangana MLAs want the party to be merged with TRS. 12 cong T'gana MLAs met the speaker today to seek a merger of party with the ruling TRS. As per the rule, 2/3rd of the elected members are required for merger of any political party. Of the total 19 MLAs of the Telangana assembly congress, 12 have shifted loyalty to the ruling TRS. The congress legislative council has already merged itself into TRS with three out of four MLCs joining the ruling party.
