Van Life. My Very First Night Of My Cross Country Tour With My Son. Full Van Tour. Camping In New Mexico
  • 5 years ago
I have done a ton of revisions to my van build. My first build was basic and mainly to take a few trips to see what I really needed before I did a major build. I haven;t fastened anything to the walls and all of the original vinyl is still intact. Being that I'm not sure what I ultimately want to do with the van, I opted not to remove any of the original interior parts, with the exception of the 7 seats I removed.

I made the sink from a metal pan I bought online. It needed to be long, narrow, and deep since my sink area is so limited. I attached a bar sink drain and extended it down a bit with an inner tube from a bicycle tire and a clamp. It has worked well but I need to do a few modifications still because the area underneath for the gray water is so small that I had to put in two narrow 1.5 gallon containers and they fill up super fast, especially when I'm cleaning up the dishes after I make a meal.

For now, everything worked well and although it's a bit cramped with two people, we have everything we need.
