It’s been 9 days since poll drubbing for the congress party and much water has flown into the river Gomti in Amethi. For one there have been several episodes of the family drama with Rahul Gandhi resigning and his mother asking him to stay back and in fact today she praised her son for the 2019 elector al campaign. His sister Priyanka, who was made general secretary earlier this year, has also asked her brother in the last few days to not resign. And the congress president, whom the country still doesn’t know will continue in his present role or not, sent out a warning to the treasury benches, saying that they may be far more in number, but will not be able to drown the voice of the opposition. So how will the congress which has again failed to get the leader of opposition position. Now make its presence felt in Modi 2.0. After all, this comes on a day when Sonia Gandhi was once again chosen as the CPP leader. So the congress, which has multiple challenges to begin with, needs a new leader, needs a new narrative both within and outside parliament and above all. Needs to stand for a political idea than a single political family. We debate.
