Temperatures across the nation continue to rise as heat waves hit the central and north western region. India meteorological department says that the situation is not likely to change in next 24 hours. States including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana & Delhi are expected to be severely affected by the heat waves. National capital region has been issued a red warning by IMD due to excessive rise in temperatures.
