Romania: PSD leader Liviu Dragnea jailed for corruption | Focus on Europe

The head of Romania's ruling PSD, Liviu Dragnea, has been jailed for three and half years for abuse of office after a voter referendum stopped him from overturning anti-corruption laws. He was convicted of providing fake jobs to two women at a child protection agency. This meant many children didn't get the help they needed.
