Local Legends learns how tradition breeds profits in the village of Mabilong in Lubuagan, Kalinga. The program introduces Iglay Tallog, the best back strap weaver in Mabilong. Tallog looks back on her childhood, recalling how she learned to weave at a young age. She then proceeds to show the meticulous process of weaving as she makes a 'silaksakaw,' a cloth which illustrates where bowls, plates, and various kitchenware are often placed. Cirilio Bawer, a community elder, commends the skill of Tallog and discusses the history and importance of weaving in their town. Tallog says weaving will always be etched in her heart and that she will continue to weave until her dying day.
