Lower than normal temps, getting brighter

Good afternoon. Overnight showers in southern provinces and Jeju are letting up and you will notice big drop in temperatures today. It will be 2 to 5 degrees lower, while upper parts of the country will have similar weather to yesterday.

Highs ranging between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius. Expect decent air quality across the country. Skies will get sunnier as the day goes on.

Temperatures will hike to above seasonal norms starting Sunday, then the heat will get stronger as we head into June with mostly sunny skies in the forecast.

Over in Budapest, the scene of the tragic boat sinking, rain has let up and winds are dying down but the volume of water in the Danube River is high, and the river's velocity remains fast, hampering the rescue operations in the water. Sunny and warm weather in store through the weekend for now.
