Last week the AU review caught up with Liverpool’s indie rock band, Circa Waves, in Sydney for the first time since they played Splendour last July. We discuss their new album, Young Chasers, which comes out March 27 in Australia.

We talk about the tracks that caused Circa Waves the most grief in the album’s choosing process, which proves to be a touchy subject, and the band even promises listeners ‘a few surprises’ from the new release.

Circa Waves has recently unveiled their video for the album’s first single, ‘Fossils.’ Here they talk about its filming process, which included ‘champagne and Mexican food’ in Berlin.

We then ask the band about their recent respective tours with both The Libertines and the 1975, and they reveal how they’ve had to adjust to playing for bigger crowds. They finish off part one of the interview by revealing which type of show they enjoy playing best. Stay tuned for part two!
