On the eve of the 17th Japanese Film Festival we speak to festival and artistic director Mr Masafumi Konomi. Mr Konomi speaks about the history of the festival and why he started it 17 years ago, the growth of the festival, what's changed over the years and why Departures was his stand out film over the years.
The 17th Japanese Film Festival starts on 13th October in Hobart and runs through till 8th December in Melbourne. The Japanese Film Festival is been shown in most capital cities.
