South Korea's output of ICT equipment hit record figures last year, on the back of global demand for semiconductor chips.
According to the Science Ministry on Sunday, production of ICT products amounted to some 420-point-eight billion U.S. dollars,... a five-point-four percent increase from 2017.
The surge was attributed to growing exports of semiconductors as well as computer equipment,... which together made up nearly three-quarters of all ICT goods produced.
ICT products, services and software made up 12 percent of all industrial items produced last year.
