Matt Hancock says he is "deeply sorry on behalf of the whole health and care system" following revelations made in BBC's Panorama on Wednesday evening. The programme showed evidence of patients with autism and learning difficulties being verbally abused and physically restrained by staff. The health and social care secretary described the scenes shown as "awful" and said action had been put in place to "make sure every single case is reviewed". Report by Jonesia.
