Sajid Javid refuses to comment on Tory leadership bid

Home Secretary Sajid Javid has avoided questions on whether he will put himself forward for Tory leadership when the next set of party elections comes around. This follows Boris Johnson’s confirmation that he will run for Conservative Party leadership once Theresa May stands down. Ms May today met with Chairman of the 1922 Committee Sir Graham Brady to set a timetable for a Conservative leadership election, although there is still no date for her depature. Report by Thomasl.
