RK Studios ko Sale kar diya gaya hai...

Bollywood’s most popular ‘RK Studio’ which was built by Raj Kapoor in 1948 was sold to Godrej Properties few months back.
RK studio had caught massive fire in 2017 which destroyed most of the studio space and ever since it is been refurbished and maintained to regain its beauty but hasn’t been successful. Randhir Kapoor on this said – “We sold the property about six-seven months ago. It was a decision that we had taken and it was only a matter of time before we would execute things. It was becoming difficult to manage it, although we did everything for its upkeep.”
Further, remembering his father Randhir added – “Raj Kapoor always believed in moving on with time and selling the studio was the need of the hour for them and that is what the family decided to do. The Kapoor family is highly emotionally attached to the studio which was built by his father but now the property has been handed over to the right party. And he wishes them luck & hopes that the news buyers will keep the legacy for this famous property continued”.
Godrej Properties on the other hand confirming the news stated – “RK Studio spread across 2.2 acres of land will now be re-developed into luxurious residential apartments”.
