Seoul's defense ministry says military can counter N. Korean missile threat

Seoul's defense ministry responded to concerns over effective defense against North Korea's short-range missile attacks.
The nation's military will continue strengthening missile defense capabilities to better counter any kind of threat.
"The South Korean military has been building missile defense systems for the past decade or so... centered around the Patriot system that defends against North Korea's short-range missile threats. We'll continue to beef up such missile defense capabilities aimed at effectively fending off any kind of threat."
The remarks comes amid suspicions that the missiles fired by the regime last Thursday... are similar to Russia's Iskander-class ballistic missiles... which are able to move away from their original flight arc or change their target... making it difficult for current anti-missile systems to intercept them.
