In his final war cry ahead of the last phase of the elections on may 19, BJP chief Amit Shah at a rally in Himachal Pradesh's Chogan Maidan. He said that if the BJP comes to power, Article 370 that grants special powers to Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped for sure. Amit Shah attempted to contrast the BJP's intent with Congress's and the NC's. He said that the cong seeks to scrap AFSPA, the NC says there will be 2 prime ministers in India, and this exposes the opposition's mindset. Remember there was a time when BJP was in govt both in the J&K state and at the centre but no attempt was made to discuss the special status to J&K.
