The Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Belgium Guy Verhofstadt joined anti-Brexit supporters in London today (May 10).
Verhofstadt highlighted the importance of the European Union as a project of ''peace'' and ''common understanding'' as he addressed the media outside Westminster.
''We have to stop nationalism and populism the fastest as possible because otherwise, it could be the end of a fantastic project,'' he said.
