Anne-Marie Duff on sexism, equality and Suffragette. The actress also talks THAT red carpet protest in our exclusive video interview.

The night before we met Anne-Marie Duff to talk about her latest film, Suffragette, activists stormed the red carpet at the movie premiere in Leicester Square to fight for women's rights.

The protestors, from Sisters Uncut, filled the air with green and purple smoke bombs (the suffragettes' colours) and lay down on the red carpet to highlight cuts to domestic violence services.

They wore t-shirts which said, 'Dead women can't vote' and Helena Bonham Carter praised them for doing 'exactly what the suffragettes' were about' - before the were removed by security.

What better time to sit down and chat with Anne-Marie Duff about her role as campaigner and laundry worker Violet Miller?
