Giant gods stand guard over Chinese building in Beijing suburb
  • 5 years ago
A building outside the Chinese capital Beijing has been turning heads with its giant figures depicting the Sanxing or “three star” deities – representing the qualities of Fortune (Fu), Status (Lu), and Longevity (Shou). Rising more than 40 meters (130 feet) above the streets of Yanjiao in China’s northern province of Hebei, the god images were reportedly added to the design of the Tianzi Hotel building to ward off evil spirits.
