The Illness That Exists Inside Every Single Christian

A rally for religious liberty was held Thursday in Nashville, but Kentucky dominated the conversation.

In fact, Joe Davis -- the husband of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis who was jailed for five days after defying a federal judge's order to process same-sex marriage licenses -- and some of his wife's supporters spoke at the rally in front of the Tennessee Capitol.

The rally took part on the steps of the state courthouse steps. Hundreds of people attended and many spoke of the importance of standing up for Christian beliefs, saying they are under attack.

Thursday's celebration of Constitution Day also brought Rafael Cruz, the father of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, a presidential candidate. Cruz didn't directly ask the crowd to vote for his son but did say the country needs to elect a constitutional conservative who will end what he called the religious persecution of Christians.
