Seoul's defense ministry has called on North Korea to halt acts that raise tensions on the peninsula.
At a briefing Tuesday... a defense ministry spokesperson said North Korea's firing of short-range projectiles last week goes against the spirit of the inter-Korean military agreement signed last September.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the military is trying to determine whether the new tactical guided weapons were ballistic missiles.
It said South Korean and U.S. intelligence units are investigating jointly.
