Thai cuisine is renowned for delicious barbecue, noodle dishes and curries, but visitors may be intrigued to try some delicacies from the country's northeast. Three unique dishes are larb kai mod daeng, a spicy salad featuring ant larvae; muk rung peung, grilled beehive; and mok huak, grilled developing tadpoles that are only a few days old. One restaurant in the Thai capital Bangkok has these dishes on their menu for locals and tourists to sample.
