American doo-wop group, The Tokens, are most well known for their number one hit single 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight.'
'La Bamba' was popularly recorded by in 1958 Ritchie Valens, which became a Top 40 hit in the US. The Tokens' version reached #85 on the US pop charts in 1962.
