Attendees include a former prime minister during the past Kim Young-sam administration, ex-ministers as well as lawyers and professors..
They're expected to discuss the administration's reform drive, the jobless crisis and the creation of a social safety net.
The president held a similar meeting last month with members from South Korea's business world.
