The Madras High Court on Tuesday curtailed the powers of Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, saying she does not have the power to interfere with the day-to-day activities of the Union Territory. Bedi has been engaged in a running feud with Chief Minister V Narayansamy over alleged interference in the state’s policies ever since she assumed office in May 2016.

పుదుచ్చేరీ లెఫ్టినెంట్ గవర్నర్ కిరణ్ బేడీ అధికారాలకు చెక్ పెట్టింది మద్రాస్ హై కోర్టు. లెప్టినెంట్ గవర్నర్ రోజువారి ప్రభుత్వ కార్యకలాపాల్లో జోక్యం చేసుకోకుడదని రూలింగ్ ఇచ్చింది. కాగా కిరణ్ బేడీ లెఫ్టినెంట్ గవర్నర్ గా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టిన నాటి నుండి అధికార వ్యవహరాల్లో జోక్యం చేసుకుంటుందనే ఆరోపణలు ఎదుర్కోంటుంది.
