Lawmakers decided to convene a late night session to try and fast track key reform bills.
The National Assembly's special committees on judicial reform and political reform were scheduled to open respective meetings at 10PM.
Political parties are planning to vote on whether to fast-track bills,... aimed at electoral reform to boost proportional representation,... and another to create a separate body to probe high ranking public officials.
At least three-fifths of the committee,... must vote in favor of the bills for the motion to pass.
The main opposition Liberty Korea Party has strongly opposed the move,... led by the ruling bloc,... along with attempts to accelerate the legislation of an electoral reform bill.
