Our Current Tech Censorship Problems are Partly Generational
  • 5 years ago
Each generation by and large sells out as what is edgy or new leaves them behind. The Gen Xers who run the internet are still stuck in the Clinton-to-Obama paradigm era in which the left was the underdog fighting censorship and authority. Now that the old left has topped the paradigm, these same tech "leaders" are under cognitive dissonance and continue a fight already won by others, now against new generations which represent a new concensus reality.
