Herpes Reports Skyrocketed
During Coachella 2019 The annual music and arts festival wrapped up in Indio, CA, last weekend. According to
'The New York Post,'
a website called
HerpAlert saw an
increase in herpes
cases in Indio, CA,
this past month. Typically, the site sees about 12 new cases
a day, but between the dates of the festival,
the number jumped to 250 new cases per day. According to 'The New York Post,
the total comes to about 1,105 new infections
reported from the surrounding towns. HerpAlert's previous record
for daily reported cases was
during Oscars weekend. In that case, they saw 60 cases in one day.
