Binge-Watching Reportedly to Blame for Falling Fertility Rate According to a 2017 paper called ‘Archives
of Sexual Behavior,’ Americans are having
less sex now than they did 30 years ago. Lead author Dr. Jean Twenge believes the decline
in sexual activity is due to increased content and
decreased commercial interruptions. Dr. Jean Twenge, via ‘The Wall Street Journal’ In a survey of more than 1,000 people conducted by
‘The Wall Street Journal,’ one in four people have
turned down intimacy in favor of binge watching. Even the phrase “Netflix and chill”
has lost its prominence, with it’s
search popularity peaking in 2015. Clinical psychologist Dr. Megan Fleming
believes the issues stretches beyond streaming
and encompasses all technology. Flemings pointed out that technology demands
undivided attention and can make people feel
isolated even when they’re not alone. Netflix has released a statement denying
the role of their streaming service in the
country’s falling fertility rate. Netflix, via ‘The Wall
