Jap Jaap Sewa NGO - Serving free food to the poor at AIIMS main gate...

'Jap Jaap Sewa' is an non-governmental organization (NGO) that serves food through a van with the sole aim to help poor homeless people. They give free food to the poor and needy. Also one person can take food as many times as he wants. Most people who are helped belong to poor families and some are even relatives of patients of AIIMS and Safdurjung Hospitals. The items they serve include food like dal-chawal, rajma- chawal, etc and during the winters they serve tea and distribute blankets also. The NGO plies two vans serving food four times in one month. The van could be seen in south Delhi outside AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital at same time. The response from the people as expected is positive. They like the food and even that the quality of the food is good. Some people even make it a point to come on regular basis to get the food which is delicious.
