MJ began his career as a child with his brothers in the group Jackson 5. In 1984, he left the group and went on a solo career to enjoy worldwide success. During his career, MJ never stopped innovating and trying to leave his print in music history. His 1982 album 'Thriller' garnered 12 Grammy Award nominations and notched eight wins, but moreover, it marked his genius to touch all styles of music. Refusing to stick to a genre, his 6th album 'Thriller' experimented with Rock, Pop, Funk or Disco. It remains to date the best-selling in the world with 66 million copies sold. As a fashion pioneer, Jackson gave new meaning to moonwalking, sparkly gloves, and he initiated the trophy jacket trend in the 80s. The success of 'Thriller' and the innovative videos of its song helped Michael break the colour barrier imposed by radio stations and powerful music channels. By 1983, he was one of the most popular entertainers in the United States. The king of pop continued to fascinate the world through his talent. MJ never hesitated to transform his visage for the videos, for instance in 'Ghosts' he played 5 different characters. 'Billy Jean' till date remains one of his critically acclaimed songs, which introduced a number of Michael Jackson's signature moves.
