Not Eating Breakfast Increases the Chances of Heart Problems A recent study says that skipping breakfast is a huge mistake. Those that don't eat breakfast have a near 90% higher chance of dying due to issues with their heart. For results, data was
gathered on 6,550 adults. From 1988 to 1994, subjects revealed
how much they eat breakfast on a daily basis. Ages of the subjects ranged
from 40 to 75 years old. In 2011, researchers went on to find that 2,318 of those polled had died. Specifically, 619 deaths were related to
problems with the heart. Of a variety of factors for heart disease, researchers found skipping breakfast
to be a definitive connection. The study's authors add that
high cholesterol is tied
to not eating in the morning. They also say skipping breakfast can lead to
increased chances of obesity and non-physical activity.
