All National Parks Will Be Free
to Visitors on April 20 According to 'Travel + Leisure,' all U.S. national parks
will wave their entrance fees in honor of
National Park Week, which runs from April 20-28. Though many national parks are
already free, some of the more popular sites,
such as Yellowstone and Yosemite, cost up to $35. The free day will make such majestic
sites more accessible to the public. Though fees will only be waived for
one day, park activities will continue
throughout the duration of the week. Such activities include painting classes
and lessons on how to pitch a tent. There will also be various themed days,
such as highlighting the park system's history
and learning about canine employees.
