Hyundai and Kia's electric cars becoming hugely popular in Korea, global markets

Korean auto giant Hyundai and its smaller sibling Kia Motors have seen a significant jump in sales of electric cars during the first three months of this year.
According to Hyundai on Sunday,... the two auto brands sold over 75-thousand eco-friendly models including hybrid, electric and fuel cell electric vehicles.
That's a 20-percent increase from the same period last year.
Electric vehicles accounted for nearly a third of the sales,... with Q1 figures jumping nearly 160-percent on-year.
Domestic sales grew over fifty percent to just under 5-thousand units,... while in overseas markets,... sales grew three-fold, topping 16-thousand.
